Our lovely neighbors gave us a card at Christmas and I simply couldn’t throw it away. Instead I upcycled it to what you see here. I had seen Frenchie Stamps do a tutorial on making a card like this so I searched and followed the instructions.
Initially I had an issue as I couldn’t seem to get things to fit. I set it aside partially complete. Over time I have discovered that sometimes my brain needs to percolate, without my being aware of the thinking. A week later I took another look, realized what was wrong and hey presto my card was done. The foiled sentiment strip is from a package by Open Studio.
The last of the folds isn’t quite right as I glued it a bit too tight, but only I, and now you, know this. The recipient won’t realize unless I point it out. It folds flat and my hope is that the postage won’t be more than the usual fees. There is a line of sparkle in the snow so I didn’t have to add anything more to it.
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you and your time. I also appreciate any comments you may leave for me.

What a great card! You did a wonderful job on it and I love that your brain figures out how to do what you want to do without you having to concentrate on it. Now, you need to set this one aside for the neighbors you got the original card from. They may not remember, but how fun to give them back the card they gave you, only in a different way.
